Cincinnati is a beautiful city located in the Southwest corner of Ohio where it is nestled in a valley along the Ohio River. The Greater Cincinnati area encompasses more than just metropolitan Cincinnati. Because it is situated so close to Indiana and Kentucky those areas are included when referring to the Greater Cincinnati area. One of the more common trivia questions about Cincinnati is: Where is the Cincinnati airport located? The answer is it's actually in Kentucky.

Columbus is the capital of Ohio and it is located 99 miles northeast of Cincinnati. Being Ohio State Buckeye fans we've traveled I71 to Columbus to take in as many games as we can afford!

A bit further north and east (219 miles from Cincinnati) is Cleveland. An annual trek to Cedar Point is an absolute must for the rollercoaster fanatics in the house.

Cincinnati is located in the midwest at the coordinates 39 degrees, 04 minutes north latitude and 84 degrees, 40 minutes west longitude. In addition to Kentucky and Indiana, Ohio shares a border with West Virginia, Pennyslvania, Michigan, and Lake Erie.

If you were to draw a 500 mile circle around Cincinnati you would find many large cities (in fact 60% of the nation's population would be located within the pie). For example, Chicago is 250, Nashville is 241, and Pittsburgh is 255 miles away from Cincinnati. Some might say the location of Cincinnati is. . .in the middle of nowhere. Actually,it's in the center of quite a lot!
