The Cincinnati Wedding Showcase is held in early January at the Sharonville Convention Center according to the Cincinnati Event Calendar.
20th Century Cincinnati is an annual tribute to vintage modern art, furnishings and fashion held at the Sharonville Convention Center the last weekend in February.
The Midwest Homeschool Convention attracts homeschoolers from 22 states. Next year's dates are March 31 - April 1, 2011.
Opening Day is a huge event in baseball especially for Reds fans. It's held the first Monday in April. There is also a parade from Findlay Market to the Great American Ball Park. The Cincinnati Flower Show is "The king of all flower shows" claims Better Homes and Gardens Magazine. Next year's event will be April 17th - 25th, 2011; the location is Symmes Township Park.
The Flying Pig Marathon is held early spring. The 13th annual event will be May 1, 2011 according to the Cincinnati Event Calendar. The May Festival, established in 1880, is the oldest continuous choral festival in the Western Hemisphere. The date of the festival varies from year-to-year but next year’s May Festival is scheduled for May 20-28, 2011.
The Taste of Cincinnati, another memorable May event on the Cincinnati Event Calendar, is held every Memorial Day weekend in downtown Cincinnati.
Summerfair is an event highlighting area artists and their work. It is held at Coney Island and there is free parking. Check it out on June 4-6.
You will not want to miss the PANEGYRI Greek Festival which takes place the last weekend in June at Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Cincinnati. Go hungry!!
Macy's Music Festival is one of the oldest running music festivals in North America. Held the last weekend in July, it features jazz and rhythm and blues music. The venue is Paul Brown Stadium where the Cincinnati Bengals play.
The Western and Southern Financial Group Masters and Women's Open (formerly called the ATP Tennis Tournament among other names) is held in August at the fabulous Lindner Family Tennis Center, 23 miles north of downtown Cincinnati. This event draws the top tennis players from around the world.
Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati USA, the nation's largest authentic German celebration, takes place in late September.
Tall Stacks Cincinnati runs from Wednesday through Sunday, the first weekend in October (every four years). The last one was in 2006.
The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival is always held the first full weekend in October. It's located in Waynesville, Ohio which is 45 miles north of downtown Cincinnati.
The Krohn Conservatory opens its Holiday Floral Show the weekend prior to Thanksgiving and runs through December. Balluminaria, a beautiful "balloon glow" event held at Eden Park's Mirror Lake helps kick off the festivities.
Macy's Downtown Dazzle takes place every Saturday in December at 6:30 p.m. (pre-show music starting at 6) on Fountain Square; it includes music, fireworks and holiday characters rappelling down the side of the Macy's building.
The Festival of the Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo runs from the end of November through the beginning of January. The dates for next year are November 26 - January 2, 2011.
